At first there seems to just be a quietness that fills you. You don’t know what to say or think. You hear your friends and loved ones around you telling you that it’s going to be ok, and all you can say is “yeah, I know it is. I know it will be.” But as the minutes pass you begin to form thoughts of your own, you begin to remember Gods promise and how you stood on those promises. You remember how you declared to all those around you how God was going to move on our behalf. You fasted, you prayed, you attended church, you sought after God with all your heart. You did all you knew to do, but inspite of all of this, that answer you desired, that answer that you prayed for did not come to past. You gave God your all and now you feel as if he closed the door in your face, so now what do you do?
WHAT DO YOU DO???
Continue to trust God. I wish I could simply give reasons why some prayers are answered and some seem to go unanswered. Why is it that some bad people prosper and some good people suffer. I don’t know why. But the thing I do know is that God wants our complete trust in him and in him alone. It’s not a better job, or a better spouse, or a better situation that’s going to bring true happiness or peace to our lives. It’s God alone who will. This is not to say that there’s no need to pray for things. But if the absence of that thing is going to make you separate from God or lose faith in him then your heart’s desire is in the wrong place. There needs to be a cry from deep down inside of us that says God I trust you. If things don’t go my way-I trust you. If I don’t get the job-I’ll still trust you God. If my spouse walks out and leave me-I’ll trust you. If the doctor shakes his head and say’s there is nothing more I can do-God I still trust you. It should not be that we only trust God as long as he is giving us the things we desire. If door after door is closed in our face there still has to be a cry to God that says-I Trust You.
Carry out your day in such a way, that it demonstrates your faith in God so much, that the Devil himself will know you truly trust God. Hold your head up, wipe the tears away, speak God’s word and love over your life and be full of assurance that God will provide. He sees your hurt, he knows your pain. He’s not taking this matter lightly. If it hurts you, it hurts him too. But he knows what he is doing with your life. You may not understand what he is doing and may feel like you know what is best for you, but God says in Isaiah 55:8-11 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
God is in control. The thing that you prayed for, it’s now time to leave it in God’s hand. If it is God’s will for you to have it, then who can stop him from giving it to you? No one. No matter what it may look like or what may be going on right now, you must continue to trust God. There is nothing that takes him by surprise. There is nothing that he can’t handle. He loves you and he has taken on the responsibility to make sure you have everything you need to make it in this world.
Heavenly father, I pray that you would touch those who are hurting right now because they feel you have not answered their prayers. Lord you know the request, the need, the desire. Lord you alone know how much they wanted it. Comfort their hearts now father. Help them to continue to look to you. Help them to trust you still. Come against every negative thought that the enemy tries to bring to their mind. Render the plan of the Devil powerless and ineffective over their lives. Lose your blessings over their lives this day and help them to stand. We thank you father. In Jesus name I pray, amen!
From my heart to yours, I ask that you please share this message. I know there is someone out there who needs to read it. Thanks in advance!
