Daily Devotional | Our Sinful Nature

Our sinful nature NEVER dies. No matter how much you pray, read or seek God the flesh with it’s sinful nature will ALWAYS be against God. It will always desire that which is wrong. So every day we must choose to do that which is right. We must choose to walk according to God’s word. Don’t be fooled and think that because you are a child of God you can’t be touched with temptation, because if you are not careful before you know it the flesh will rise up and have you doing some things you thought you could resist.

We must choose to be faithful, We must choose to seek after God. God is not going to force you or make you do it, because he wants it to come from your heart. The devil wants you to think you can’t give certain things up, he wants you to think you can’t stop, he wants you to think you just have to have it but God has put something greater inside of you to overcome every temptation that you face. His SPIRIT lives in you, and because of this you have the power to resist every urge, every temptation, and every wrong desires that the devil tries to throw your way. He has equipped you to stand, he has equipped you to resist, he has equipped you to say “NO” to the devil.

You are no longer his slave, he doesn’t own you nor control you anymore because you have been sealed by God’s Spirit who lives in you. So when the urge come RESIST IT-How? By speaking the word of God, even to your feelings, to your desires, to temptation-SPEAK it to your self. Tell it what God word says continuously and watch how the devil flees. You are an OVERCOMER because you have overcome him by the blood of the lamb and the words of your testimony.
