Within the scriptures, you will find that there are several things that God wants you to know. This is because he wants you to grow strong in him.
The word tells us exactly what God wants for us. It tells us how we are to live and what he requires of us. Each day as we read his word we will find that there is a daily inspirational message waiting from God. He speaks to our hearts to keep us strong in the faith.
However, we do have an adversary. It is his job to keep us blinded to the truth of God’s word. He knows that If your foundation in God is built on shaky grounds, he can easily knock you down.
This is why we need to stay grounded in God’s word so we will know exactly what it is God wants us to know.
God wants you to know the foundational truths. These truths will hold your faith together. Especially, when everything else is falling apart.
These foundational truths that will be discussed are the keys to having a personal, rewarding and solid relationship with God. They will establish you and equip you to stand in the midst of hard times.
Experiencing God’s love, Building a relationship with him and getting to know God intimately originates from having a personal relationship with him.
It is not when you become perfect or when you are doing everything right that your relationship with God becomes established.
If you have given your heart to God and made him your Lord and Savior, you are in a relationship with him right now.
Regardless of how you may have messed up or what you may be struggling with God says “I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU” Deuteronomy 31:6.
God is not asking you to be perfect. He is not asking you to get everything right. This is why he says in his word “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again” (Proverbs 24:16)
If you make a mistake, fall, or mess-up God wants you to know that you can get back up and start again.
The devil will try to constantly remind you of what you did wrong, He wants you to feel like you’re were not good enough or worthy to serve God. His hope is that you will back away from God and continued to live a defeated and depressed life.
Many people have missed their deliverance, breakthrough or healing because they believed the lies of the enemy. They felt to shame to go to God.
They could not accept the notion that God would be in a relationship with someone like themselves. But listen to what God is saying about our relationship with him:
He wants you to know his character, his nature, his word, and his promises.
If anything that we are facing, going through or hear does not line up with the word of God then we need to quickly flee from it,
He wants you to know that what he did in the past he will do it again in your future. Because He is a God who keeps his promises and performs his word again and again when it comes to his children.
When you know who God is, believe his word as true and BELEIVE that YOU ARE in a relationship with him, you will be able to defeat any lie, trial, or temptation that the enemy throws at you.
Like any other relationship, our relationship with God has to be strengthened day by day. And in order to grow in him and get established in him, we have to commune with him.
In the article titled “What Does It Mean To Have A Relationship With God” The author states:
What a relationship with God means is that we are receiving communications from God about himself both through his word and through history. He comes to us in Jesus Christ, in his teaching, in his cross, in his apostles, through his word, and he is speaking to us. And his speaking is made vital to us by the present presence of the Holy Spirit who dwells within us.
God wants you to know that you are in a relationship with him NOW. But in order for the relationship with him to grow, you have to talk with him. God wants you to spend time with him and meditate on him.
It’s in doing this, that God will reveal who he is in your life. He will teach you what he will do for your life.
Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3
The next thing that God wants you to know is that he is ALWAYS faithful. He is going to do what he has promised. Hear what his word says:
Sometimes it’s easier to credit God for his faithfulness when it comes to someone else’s victories.
We hear about what he did for Daniel in the lion’s den. How he faithfully delivered the three Hebrew boys. We hear our neighbors, family or friends praise God for delivering them. And we thank God for his faithfulness towards them.
We are happy for them. We praise God with them. But there is something inside that wonder “What about me Lord?”.
It’s in moments like this that we need to stand on the five attributes of God.
We find that God is:
If we believe these attributes of God to be true, then we must also believe that God is going to perform his word. We believe this because he is always truthful, God cannot lie.
He is faithful to his word and he is faithful to fulfill his promises. This is what the psalmist said:
Psalm 119:49-50
Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope. My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.
Although he had not yet received what he was waiting on, he said it was the promise alone that was giving him hope.
It was the promise that was keeping him from walking away from God and keeping him from thinking that his situation was hopeless.
He had a promise from the one true living God and he knew nothing else could even begin to compare to what God was going to do.
But the reason that the promise was so valuable, was because it was back by the faithfulness of God.
He knew that God would do exceedingly and abundantly much more than what he could ever ask for or think. He had a promise from God that was backed by God’s faithfulness and so do you.
It may seem like others around you are being blessed, but you can best believe that if God made you a promise, he is going to bless you too.
God has not forgotten you. He has not left you. God is not punishing you. He sees what you are going through. But God wants you to realize the value that is in the promises that he has given to you.
When you realize what you have, you will be like the psalmist and say although I am suffering, I still have comfort because God’s promise preserves my soul.
The only fear that we should have is the fear of the lord. This fear causes us to reverence and honors God for who he is.
However, Satan tries to use fear to paralyze us from using our God-given gifts and talents.
This fear brings torment, anger, sadness, and depression. Fear will pull us away from God and causes us to seek ungodly counsel.
When we live in fear it will make us think that we are going to lose our home, lose our jobs, lose our marriage and causes us to think God is not with us.
God wants you to know that you do not have to fear anything that comes against you.
He truly wants you to know that it is HE who is with you. It is God who is going out before you. He is fighting your battles. when God is for you, tell me WHO can be against you.
When we come to accept this as true we will be able to advance forward. Even when it seems like everyone and everything is against us.
We have to know that God is on our side, it is God who is in me now…Whom shall I fear?
The Bible tells us that God did not give us a spirit of fear but a spirit of power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
God tells us in his word that we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:31-39). The bible tells us not to fear 365 times in the bible. Over and over we find God trying to ingrain it in his people not to fear.
It’s only when we KNOW who God is and what he will do, that we can truly walk fearlessly in the face of our enemies. This is why God tells us to stay in his word. To meditate upon it both day and night.
Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Joshua 1:8
If you hold the reading of this post as true, then the next thing to do is to hide it in your heart. Don’t leave this post and then forget who you are in Christ. Don’t forget that you are in a relationship with him right now. You don’t have to try to work for it or to prove yourself to God, he only wants you to believe.
Your confidence stands on this-That you are in a relationship with God right now. Not later, but now.
Because you know that you are in a relationship with God and you know the characteristics of God, then you know that he is going to do what he promised.
And, because you know he is going to do what he promised, you don’t have to fear any bad news. Your heart is steadfast trusting in the Lord (Psalms 112:7).
If you can hold on to these truths you are on your way to victorious living.
This is what God wanted you to know!
