God’s word is true, living and powerful yet in times of trouble we often forget the authority that is in his words.
How often do we spend hours, even days worrying about things that may never happen? Our thoughts can become so intense, that our bodies will even start responding to the thoughts.
Our heart rate increase, loss of appetite, loss of sleep, mood changes, all over a thought.
So when worry, fear, doubt or anxiety tries to attack our minds we need to quickly turn to the word of God and stand upon it.
Romans 8:31 says ” What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Who can stand against the Lord God Almighty? No one can stand against him!
No man can stand against you, no power can stand against you, because God is standing for you.
But if you forget the faithfulness of the lord and the power in his word, it will not be long before you start to live a defeated life.
Wrong thinking will cause us to forget God’s word.
When we allow negative and painful thoughts to enter our minds, we will find ourselves backing away from worshipping and praising God.
We will start to feel that our prayers are useless and eventually stop seeking God. This is what happened to me until God placed a special word in my spirit regarding prayer.
The “What if’s” in life will drain you physically, mentally and spiritually if you do not put God’s word back in remembrance.
There are so many things that God wants you to know when you are tired of waiting on him or when it seems like the troubles of life just won’t go away.
We have to remember that if God said it, then it is going to happen. Why? Because the words of God cannot return to him void.
In the article “Power of God’s word” written by Tony Evans he states: ” The Bible is not simply words about God, it is the Word of God. Many people learn about God from the Bible, which is good – but that is not where you are to stop. The Word of God is the voice of God in print. It is active and alive and sharper than a two-edged sword, able to reach and instruct the deepest recesses and core of who you are (Hebrews 4:12)”.
We’re talking about God speaking, God’s power, God’s authority over your life and over everything that comes against you.
Man may lie, but not God.
It does not matter if you deserve it or not, it does not matter if your adequate or not, it does not matter if you’ve messed up or not, the only thing that matters is that God said it, and if he said it, that settles it.
The bible says to meditate on His word, day in and day out. It may seem difficult to do this in the middle of a trial, but if we are going to come out God’s way, we have to focus on his word. You have to believe that God's word is the final word over your situation, it is the final answer to the questions in your life. In the article “How to meditate on God’s Word” the author states: “Meditation is pondering the Word in our hearts, preaching it to our own souls, and personally applying it to our own lives and circumstances. It is how we sanctify our thinking and bring it into submission to Christ—taking every thought captive”. Paul tells us in Romans 12:
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect (Romans 12:2).

We have to hear what his word is saying. We have to seek the Holy Spirit to give us revelation and to make God’s word alive to us.
God’s Holy Spirit will show you exactly what God’s word is saying concerning your situation.
Hear what God’s word is saying. So the next time negative thoughts, fear or worry tries to attack you, you can tell the Devil what God said. Knowing that God’s word will not return to him void!!”.
The bible says in 2 Chronicles 20:6 …“Lord, the God of our ancestors, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you.”
No one can withstand God, no one can come against his plan. No one can stop what he has in stored for you. No one can close doors that he has open. No one can say

We have to remember that the word of God is not just mere man’s word.
They are words that are full of power and might. They are words that cause an action to take place. The words of God are sent out on assignment to accomplish the things that he has spoken.
With his word, we find life, with his word we find strength, with his word we move mountains. We have to focus on God’s word, more so than anything else. Our worries present itself as real but we must remember that only what God said is real. Only what God say’s matters.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
